A selection of residents from South Sheilds care home were invited to spend the day at Marsden Road Health and Wellbeing Centre on the 22nd January. Not only were residents treated to a day at the 3 million pound centre they were also introduced to Princess Anne who had also been invited to take part in the days activities.

Princess Anne has become a popular and admirable figure within the care industry for her commitment to charity work. During Princess Anne’s visit to the wellbeing centre she heard about the residents of South Sheilds regular visits to the centre every Tuesday morning, was given a tour of the building and unveiled a plaque to mark the occasion. As a token of thanks the former matron Nancy Robinson presented Princess Anne with a bouquet of flowers on behalf of the residents.

As one of the Directors of AWB, I lead our overall service and product offering; from designing our processes and products, to how we present them and critically how we ensure we give our customers the best service possible. I am an architect by profession, having worked in international practice for 15 years, across various sectors including residential, office, laboratory and education. This has given me a keen eye for quality and detail, but also perspective in being able to absorb customer requirements and provide tailored responses. I am keen on utilising cross industry design expertise to deliver a high quality product for our customers. I strive to ‘do more with less’ and ‘keep it simple’. I am very much into Formula 1, guitars and an emerging mid-life crisis hobby of surfing.
